Photo Imagining in The Digital age

In this workshop we will be exploring the development of image ideas as well as the technical possibilities in Photoshop that open the door to individual expression. We will work with both single images and composites to see past the usual color correction, crop, and sharpen of single images and the ordinary cut and paste of composites. Moving toward its expressive potential a digital image can evoke thoughts in the viewer that go beyond the Wow! How did they do that?

This is not a beginning Photoshop workshop. Participants should have a good basic knowledge of Photoshop and bring a laptop loaded with Photoshop CS or CS2. I will be using CS2. Everyone should bring at least 20 image files. It?s okay to bring more if you want to have a range of material to select from as ideas grow and change during the workshop. Also, I suggest that each person bring a digital camera (with the option of manual focus if possible).
